भारत का narcotics landscape पिछले पाँच सालों में बहुत बदल गया है। Drug distribution networks सड़कों से हटकर social media feeds पर आ गए हैं, और उनके सबसे vulnerable targets वो बच्चे और teenagers हैं जो रोज़ाना घंटों इन platforms पर बिताते हैं।

नया Distribution Model

पारंपरिक drug distribution physical proximity पर निर्भर था - schools, colleges और hangout spots के पास dealers। Social media ने यह limitation खत्म कर दी है। अब एक शहर में बैठा dealer पूरे देश में सिर्फ एक smartphone से recruit और distribute कर सकता है।

यह model कई layers में काम करता है:

Promotion Layer - Instagram और Snapchat पर glamorized lifestyle content जो substance use को normalize करता है। Influencer-style accounts जो parties, luxury, और "freedom" दिखाते हैं।
Recruitment Layer - इस content से engage करने वाले teenagers को direct messaging। Free samples, party invitations, या micro-distributors बनने के लिए "easy money" के offers।
Distribution Layer - Orders के लिए Telegram channels और encrypted apps। Physical handoffs के लिए dead drops और delivery services जो face-to-face contact कम करती हैं।
Payment Layer - Money trails छुपाने के लिए UPI payments, cryptocurrency, या in-game currency।

कौन से Platforms का हो रहा है गलत इस्तेमाल

Instagram: Primary recruitment platform। Dealers aesthetic accounts बनाते हैं जो party culture को glorify करते हैं। Stories में polls जैसे "Who's ready for the weekend?" से interested teens identify होते हैं। फिर DMs आते हैं।

Snapchat: Disappearing messages इसे distribution coordination के लिए ideal बनाते हैं। "Snap Maps" से dealers उन gatherings और events को identify करते हैं जहाँ teenagers इकट्ठा होते हैं।

Telegram: Encrypted group chats storefronts की तरह काम करती हैं। Channels में coded names और pricing के साथ product photos होती हैं। Orders bot या private message से होते हैं।

Gaming Platforms: In-game transactions drug payments छुपा सकते हैं। Dealers gameplay के दौरान teens से दोस्ती करते हैं और substances को social experience "level up" करने के तरीके के रूप में introduce करते हैं।

आम Code Words (ये तेज़ी से बदलते हैं)

Drug networks लगातार अपनी terminology बदलते रहते हैं। हमारी team ने भारतीय context में कुछ patterns identify किए हैं:

खाने-पीने की चीज़ों के references जो specific substances के लिए use होते हैं ("chocolate", "candy", "ice cream")
Party-related terms ("party supplies", "refreshments", "vitamins")
Emoji patterns - specific combinations जो substances या availability indicate करती हैं
Bio या comments में "DM for menu" या "DM for rates"
Specific locations के references जो known drop points हैं

माता-पिता क्या कर सकते हैं

Prevention Strategy

जल्दी educate करें - Substances के बारे में age-appropriate बातचीत teens के सामने आने से पहले शुरू होनी चाहिए। एक trusted माता-पिता की बात किसी अजनबी की pitch से ज़्यादा powerful होती है।
Financial activity monitor करें - अपने बच्चे की UPI apps, bank accounts, और spending patterns जानें। बिना explanation के पैसों का आना-जाना एक critical indicator है।
Friend circle जानें - Control करने के लिए नहीं, बल्कि समझने के लिए। Peer groups में अचानक बदलाव significant होता है।
Platform awareness - Social media पर अपने बच्चे को follow करें। जानें कि वो कौन सा content consume करते हैं और किनसे interact करते हैं।
School coordination - Student community में substance-related concerns के बारे में school administration से communication बनाए रखें।

Professionals को कब involve करें

अगर आपको पता चले कि आपका बच्चा किसी distribution network द्वारा recruit किया जा रहा है, तो यह सिर्फ parental intervention से हल होने वाली situation नहीं है। ये organized criminal networks हैं जो confront करने पर खतरनाक हो सकते हैं।

सही evidence collection जो prosecution तक ले जाए, सिर्फ आपके बच्चे को network से हटाना नहीं
